Religious educators to meet at annual conference Nov. 12 in Daytona BeachPublished October 26, 2007
DAYTONA BEACH (FBC)—Leadership, team building and issues facing today's churches will be addressed during the annual conference of the Florida Baptist Religious Educators Association Nov. 12 at First Baptist Church in Daytona Beach, meeting in conjunction with the Florida Baptist State Convention. Keynote speaker for the event is Ron Pratt of LifeWay Christian Resources. Formerly, Pratt served as a consultant to ministers of education in the Pastor-Staff Leadership Department. He now serves as national event planner for LifeWay Conference Centers. The meeting starts at 9 a.m., with registration at 8:30 a.m. The FBREA business session begins at 2:30 p.m. FBREA membership is available to all religious educators in Florida Baptist churches and agencies. Persons with responsibilities in preschool and children's ministries may be interested in joining the Children's Ministry Association of Florida, which includes full membership in FBREA. FBREA Membership fee for 2007-2208 is $20; Membership in the CMAF is $40 and includes FBREA membership. Conference registration is an additional $15 and includes lunch; registration for spouses is $10.
