LOUISVILLE, Ky. (BP)—The famed 135-year-old Churchill
Downs—home of the Kentucky Derby—will be among the ministry venues
as Southern Baptists engage in Crossover Louisville ’09. Now in its 21st year,
Crossover is an evangelistic thrust to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ the
week before the Southern Baptist Convention’s annual meeting in each year’s
host city.

Southern Baptist Convention’s six seminaries will receive updates about the
schools and renew acquaintances with faculty members and classmates during
luncheons Wed., June 24, in conjunction with the SBC’s annual meeting in
Louisville. Five of the seminaries will host luncheons at the Kentucky
Exposition Center while Southern Seminary will host its luncheon on campus.
