Traylor to nominate Hunt for SBC president

WOODSTOCK, Ga. (BP)--Johnny M. Hunt, pastor of First Baptist Church of Woodstock, Ga., will be nominated for president of the Southern Baptist Convention during the SBC's June 10-11 annual meeting in Indianapolis, Ted Traylor, pastor of Olive Baptist Church in Pensacola, Fla., announced May 6.

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (BP)--Former missionary Avery Willis will be nominated for president of the Southern Baptist Convention during the SBC's June 10-11 annual meeting in Indianapolis, John Marshall, senior pastor of Second Baptist Church in Springfield, Mo., announced May 6.

wrinkled faces, watched their Sunday School teacher with the same enthusiasm
displayed by a class of first-graders sitting on the edge of their seats,

Art celebrates creation at Wayside Baptist Church exhibit

MIAMI (FBW)—In an effort to equip church members to
defend their faith in the God of creation, Wayside Baptist Church in Miami
declared April “Creation Month.” The culmination of the emphasis was an art
exhibit, “The Inspiration of Creation,” April 25-27.

evolution academic freedom legislation during the 60-day Florida legislative
session, Florida Baptist Convention legislative consultant Bill Bunkley
highlighted the positive by pointing to the failure of gambling expansion bills
as a “huge win for families.”
