Retreat for pastors, deacons and their wives planned for Sept. 19-20Published July 31, 2008
LEESBURG (FBC)—Stephen Davis, executive director-treasurer of the State Convention of Baptists in Indiana, and his wife, Diana, will lead sessions during the Pastor, Deacon and Wives Retreat Sept. 19-20 at Lake Yale Baptist Conference Center in Leesburg. Stephen Davis will lead two sessions, “The Challenge of the Buckets” and “Don’t Be a Bored Board.” Diana Davis will lead sessions for the wives, including one on her new book: Fresh Ideas for Women’s Ministry: Creative Plans and Programs that Really Work! Other breakout session will be led by Debbie Bass, First Baptist Church, Madison; Jaca DePriest, Bell Shoals Baptist Church, Brandon; Frank Phillips, Northwest Baptist Church, Gainesville; Bob Sharp, New Hope Baptist Church, Englewood; and Mike Strickland, Seminole Baptist Church, Tallahassee. Cost for the retreat is $79 per person for double occupancy; $99 for per person for single occupancy and $55 per person for commuters.
