Rear Admiral and neurosurgeon moves from scalpel to penPublished June 5, 2008
BRANDON (FBW)—Joseph Miller, a rear admiral with the United States Navy Reserve medical corps, has used his time since retiring from neurosurgery to address theological and ethical issues. A deacon at First Baptist Church in Brandon, Miller was also a deputy for the Surgeon General for Reserve Affairs in the Pentagon, and chief of the department of neurosurgery at the National Naval Medical Center, Miller said. Tommy Green, senior pastor at First Baptist, said Miller has written several books about issues important to him that have also ministered to many people. Those books include: •Mysteries of the Southern Baptist Beliefs Revealed or Biblical Baptist •You Live! You Die! Who Decides? •Faked Disability, A Shame of America •Explore the Brain for the Soul and Overcome the World |
