TALLAHASSEE (FBW) —The Florida Senate defeated a bill requiring women seeking an abortion in the first trimester to have an ultrasound after an emotional debate on April 30.

The tie vote, 20-20, came with seven Republicans voting against SB 2400, while one Democrat voted in favor of the measure. The tie vote results in a defeat.
