Florida Baptist Witness executive editor James A. Smith Sr. joined eight other Southern Baptist newspaper editors Jan. 9-15 for a tour of Israel at the invitation of the Ministry of Tourism. Out the more than 1,200 pictures taken by Smith at dozens of sites throughout Israel, these are published as a photographic tour of the Holy Land. Some readers will note the absence of certain sites—like Bethlehem, the place of Jesus' birth, where the editors were unable to visit—and others which space would not permit their use here.
