DAYTONA BEACH (FBW)—Three musical groups led worship in four sessions of the Florida Baptist State Convention annual meeting Nov. 12-13 in Daytona Beach.

Choirs and a praise team led congregational singing in the evenings, and soloists Leonardo Villanueva and Leo Day sang Nov. 13.

The combined choirs of Calvary Baptist Church in Clearwater and First Baptist Church of Indian Rocks in Largo, led by Calvary's minister of music Greg Toney, sang Nov. 12.

The all-memorized vocals included the Latin beat of "We Crown You With Praise," "Not Unto Us" and "End of the Beginning." All arrangements featured percussion, brass and pianist Stan Collins.

Nov. 13 the combined choir was pared down to Calvary's 10-member praise team. The team and instrumentalists led the classic hymn "Blessed Be The Name" and lively arrangements of "Better Than Life" and "When I Think About the Lord."

The Florida Baptist Worship Choir and Orchestra, under the direction of Terry Williams, set the tone for the Nov. 13 evening session with a 15-minute vocal prelude, and the Singing Men performed "I Sing the Mighty Power of God" a cappella. Two anthems—"Saved the Day" and "Something Happens"—preceded the evening's last sermon.
