Senior Adult Conclave at Lake YalePublished April 5, 2007
LEESBURG (FBC)—Bible study, conferences, recreation and entertainment will highlight the Senior Adult Conclaves April 9-11 at Lake Yale Baptist Conference Center. The three day event, themed "Enlightened Seniors Make Disciples," will be led by Virgil Lovett and Don Atkinson. Lovett, retired pastor of Trinity Baptist Church in Apopka, is a musician and leader for the Trinity Singers and Lovett Family Singers. Atkinson, retired pastor and employee of LifeWay Christian Resources, edits "Baptist Adults." Trevor Thomas, nicknamed "Mr. Drama," will perform the first two nights. He combines music, monologues, poems, sketches and mime into a worship service. Joining Thomas will be Lee Turner, founder of Turnersong Publishing Company. Turner is a pianist, entertainer, composer and arranger. The cost is $120 per person for double occupancy, $175 per person for single occupancy, $73 for commuters and $36 for RV hookups. Registration received less then seven days before the event is subject to a $5 late fee.
