Mary Schindler (r) and her daughter, Suzanne Vitadamo, work with Bob Schindler Sr. to staff the office of the Terri Schindler Schiavo Foundation in St. Petersburg. The foundation is committed to telling the story of the life and death of Terri, who was dehydrated to death one year ago.

ST. PETERSBURG (FBW)–Pledging to work on behalf of the disabled, elderly and other vulnerable citizens, against care rationing, euthanasia and medical killing, members of Terri Schiavo’s family will through the foundation work to educate the public on guardianship and state laws concerning death by dehydration and starvation.

In addition, the foundation will provide information and resources and offer seminars on advanced directives, medical futility policies, and individual constitutional rights through its Web site (www.terrisfight.org) and printed materials.

The foundation also will work to establish a network of professionals and organizations who will advocate, protect, and provide care for people with disabilities and their families.

Mary Schindler told the Witness family members have been speaking to pro-life groups throughout the country and internationally through the Nashville Speaker’s Bureau (www.nashspeakers.com).

Speaking fees earned by the Schindler family are paid directly to the Terri Schindler Schiavo Foundation Center for Health Care Ethics, the sister organization to the Terri Schindler Schiavo Foundation. Profits from the Schindler’s book also will go to that organization.
