Korean fellowship to hold 14th annual meeting June 20-22Published May 26, 2005
The Council of Korean Southern Baptist Churches in America will hold its 14th annual meeting June 20-22 in Nashville, Tenn., in conjunction with the Southern Baptist Convention’s annual meeting June 21-22 in the state capital. The council, encompassing about 750 churches affiliated with the SBC that worship in a Korean context, will begin its sessions with an opening dinner and worship celebration Monday evening. The three-day schedule also will include a slate of six sermons Tuesday morning and a day-long business meeting Wednesday. The Monday evening dinner, which begins at 5, will be held at the Holiday Inn Express Downtown across from the LifeWay Christian Store. After dinner there will be an opening worship and celebration and official introduction of the leaders from the SBC and Korean Baptist church leaders from Korea and the U.S., according to organizers. On Tuesday, a three-hour Korean preaching conference with six guest speakers will begin at 8:30 a.m. in the SBC Building at 901 Commerce St. The council’s business meeting is from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at the SBC Building. A worship service at 7 p.m. will close out the council sessions. |
