B&H to release new titlesPublished May 26, 2005
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (BP)– Broadman & Holman will release a lineup of books by Marvin Olasky, John Perry and Mathew Staver. Orlando-based Mathew Staver presents Christians with information about free speech and religious liberty in his new book, Eternal Vigilance: Knowing and Protecting Your Religious Freedom. The book focuses on religious liberty in America and how the “unalienable right” of religious freedom affects the various facets of everyday life. Chapters include topics about prayers in public assemblies, students’ rights in public, religious rights in the workplace, and political activity of nonprofit organizations. The book is scheduled to release in June. In May, B&H also will release a new book by WORLD magazine editor Marvin Olasky and John Perry, Monkey Business: The True Story of the Scopes Trial, to coincide with the 80th anniversary. The book offers an explanation of the Scopes Monkey Trial in Dayton, Tenn., in 1925 and includes an apologetic for divine creation. Walking God’s Path by John Perry will release in June and provides a biographical account of James T. Draper Jr.’s life, ministry and career. Interwoven with Draper’s personal story is the account of the changes, growth and character of the Southern Baptist Convention. Other titles scheduled to release this summer include: Imagine! A God-Blessed America by Richard Land, the president of the SBC Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission; Parenting with Kingdom Purpose by Ken Hemphill and Richard Ross; and What Every Christian Ought to Know by Adrian Rogers, the retired pastor of Belleview Baptist Church in Cordova, Tenn.
