CROSSROADS debuts on Family Net, reaches national audiencePublished June 2, 2005
JACKSONVILLE–(FBC) CROSSROADS video magazine will debut on Family Net beginning in June. The video magazine produced by the Florida Baptist Convention’s Media Services Department will double its audience and increase the number of Florida households it reaches by joining the Family Net line-up carried by various digital cable systems in the state. The 30-minute quarterly program about Florida Baptists making a difference will also have a national audience through more than 200 markets coast-to-coast where Family Net is available. “We are pleased to have Crossroads airing on Family Net,” said Chip Turner, vice-president, Marketing and Distribution, Family Net. “These telecasts are an excellent example of how our Southern Baptist television network can partner with a state convention to tell an important story.” As a result, “people throughout the United States will come to know and appreciate the ministries of Florida Baptists,” Turner noted. Based in Fort Worth, Texas, Family Net is a full-time television network airing more than 50 hours of original, values-based programs weekly. CROSSROADS is an award-winning half-hour video report on the cooperative mission and ministry work of Florida Baptists. In the summer edition, viewers will learn the history, purpose and importance of Florida Baptist associations and why partnering with churches in missions and ministry is vital to their work. During this edition, focus will be given to a family in Punta Gorda who is still recovering from last year’s devastating hurricane season and how one Tampa church is still providing them aid and comfort almost one year later. Viewers also will hear how churches in different associations partnered in prayer to see an incredible harvest for the Kingdom of God.
