LifeWay’s new strategic marketing director has ties to Florida

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (LWCR)—Harold Pinto brings more than 25 years of marketing experience to his newly-created position as strategic marketing director in the church resources division of LifeWay Christian Resources of the Southern Baptist Convention.

On Nov. 28, Pinto stepped into his new position after considering the move to non-secular business for a number of years. “I’ve always had an interest in contributing to ministry,” said Pinto, who was born in a Southern Baptist home in Brazil. “As empty nesters now, my wife and I decided this seemed the right time to move in that direction.”

Prior to coming to LifeWay, Pinto’s career took him to several states, England and Brazil. He is proficient in Portuguese and speaks conversational French and Spanish. He said moving around allowed him to see how church practices are changing around the world, a phenomenon he hopes to address in his new position.

“We need to be able to offer materials that are relevant to the churches,” he said. “There is a great opportunity for us to listen to the voice of our customer and tailor our offerings according to their particular needs.

“My heart is to meet the needs of these changing churches.”

To accomplish his goal, Pinto said he wants to engage LifeWay’s business ministry teams and develop strategic plans for 2006 that address specific market segments such as the contemporary or blended church.

Pinto and his wife, Regina, moved to Nashville from Ocala. They have two daughters in Orlando.
