GREATER ORLANDO

First Baptist Church in Fort Lauderdale, has called Chris Lloyd as chief financial officer/stewardship administrator. For the past four years he served as chief financial officer of Broward General Medical Center. He is a graduate of Florida Atlantic University, Boca Raton, and Nova University, Fort Lauderdale. He and his wife, Lynn, have two adult sons.

JACKSONVILLE

MIAMI

North Hialeah Baptist Church will host speaker Bernadette Todd Feb. 13. The wheelchair-bound native of Jamaica will speak in the Spanish service at 9:15 and English service at 11 a.m. For more information, call 305-821-4021.

ORANGE BLOSSOM

First Baptist Church, Wauchula, has called Tim Davis as minister of music. He previously served 25 years with First Baptist Church, Pinnellas Park, as minister of music, music associate and organist. He is a graduate of St. Petersburg Junior College and University of South Florida, Tampa, and also studied at Liberty University, Lynchburg, Va. Davis and his wife, Eleanor, have two teenage sons.

SANTA ROSA

First Baptist Church, Milton, has called Kenneth Martin as minister of music. He is a graduate of Charleston (S.C.) Southern University and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, Fort Worth, Texas. Martin, his wife, Kristi, and three children will move to Milton from Fort Worth, where he served as minister of music of Rosen Heights Baptist Church.

SOUTH FLORIDA

James A. McAleece, pastor of Griffin Baptist Church since 1998, died Dec. 31. He was 69. After serving the U.S. Coast Guard 16 years, he graduated from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary and had served churches 38 years in Connecticut, Georgia and Florida. He is survived by his wife of almost 51 years, Nancy; son, Wade; daughters, Antonette Tardo and Teresa Tabor; and 15 grandchildren.

SUNCOAST

First Baptist Church of Indian Rocks, Largo, will host the India Children’s Choir Feb. 20 at 6 p.m. The choir, made up of 23 children from the Hmar tribe in northeast India, is on a 10-month tour of the U.S. and Canada. For more information, call 727-593-8736.
