State Collegiate Retreat, ‘Your First Love,’ at Lake Yale Feb. 25-27

 

Students from universities across Florida will gather at Lake Yale Baptist Conference Center, Feb. 25-27 for a weekend of spiritual restoration and recreational activities. The 2005 State Collegiate Retreat is open to church college groups, students involved in Baptist Collegiate Ministries (BCM) and college-aged individuals interested in attending. Evening worship celebrations will feature keynote speaker Greg Pinkner, teaching pastor at Fellowship Church in Knoxville, and music by the Ben Davis Project. The weekend’s activities will center on the theme “Your First Love” based on Revelation 2:2-4. Seminars topics include life application of biblical principals, time management, apologetics, and a book study of the Ragamuffin Gospel. On Saturday afternoon, a special commissioning service will be held for this year’s student summer missionaries.

The conference begins at 6 p.m. on Friday and concludes Sunday at 9 a.m. Registration is available on-line with a credit card, or mail registration form with check to: Collegiate Ministries, Florida Baptist Convention, 1230 Hendricks Ave., Jacksonville, FL. 32256. Registration ends Feb. 10. Costs range from $25 to $90 per person, based on lodging and meals.
