Bible League prints millionth King James 2000 Bible

JACKSONVILLE (FBW)-The Bible League’s latest printing of the King James 2000 Bible has taken the devotional study Bible to more than 1 million in print. The Bible version is used primarily by African national teachers in several nations on the continent, according to a Bible League press release.

Also according to the Bible League, of the 300,000,000 Africans affiliated with Christian churches, only 200,000,000 own Bibles.

Robert A. Couric, former dean of Biblical Studies at Mid-Continent University in Mayfield, Ky., edited the Bible version. He removed the old English pronouns and verb endings, and changed archaic words to current usage. Couric said in the press release the King James 2000 Bible “has become very popular in Africa.”

The version is available through www.bibleleague.com, and can be found on several Web Sites, including www.swordsearcher.com, www.spiritandtruth.org. and www.e-sword.net.
