Southwestern confers degreesPublished January 20, 2005
FORT WORTH, Texas (SWBTS)Nine students claiming Florida as their home state graduated from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth during winter commencement Dec. 10. Two hundred ninety graduates earned degrees during Southwesterns 208th commencement ceremony at Fort Worths Travis Avenue Baptist Church. The winter graduating class included students from 26 states and 12 foreign countries. They earned 10 diploma degrees, 245 masters degrees and 26 doctorates. Students from 48 states, Washington D.C. and 47 countries are currently enrolled at Southwestern. More than 65,000 students have enrolled at the worlds largest seminary since it was founded in 1908. More than 38,000 have earned degrees. Graduates from Florida, their hometowns and churches, if known, and their degrees are: Brown, Jasen; Miami; First Baptist Church,
