Fred Wolfe to lead BCF's annual preaching conference Feb. 7-9Published January 13, 2005
GRACEVILLE (BCF)-Baptist College of Florida will host its annual preaching conference Feb. 7 - 9 at the schools Graceville campus. The event is schedule to take place 1011 a.m. each day in the Assembly Center.
Courtesy Photo This year's conference will feature guest speaker Fred Wolfe, founder of Barnabas Ministries and pastor emeritus of Cottage Hill Baptist Church in Mobile, Alabama. A native of South Carolina, Fred Wolfe has earned a national reputation as one of the stalwarts in the re-emergence of conservative leadership in the Southern Baptist Convention (SBC). Over the years, he has held a number of key convention posts, including chairman of the Executive Committee of the SBC. Wolfe has also served on the SBC Home Mission Board, now the North American Mission Board, and as president of the SBC Pastors Conference. In 1990 Wolfe preached the Convention sermon at the Southern Baptist Convention annual meeting in New Orleans. He has preached four times at the annual SBC Pastors Conference. For 25 years, he pastored the 8,000-member Cottage Hill Baptist Church in Mobile, Alabama. The Preaching Conference is free to the public.
