Regents vote 18-17 to keep Baylor president

WACO, Texas (BP)--Baylor University President Robert Sloan narrowly retained his position when the school's regents voted 18-17 in his favor May 14.

The vote, in a closed session, followed a 28-5 no-confidence vote May 4 by the faculty senate, according to the Waco Tribune-Herald.

Regents apparently agreed not to speak publicly about the vote after the executive session.
