He and his wife, Rebecca, and their four sons moved to Chiefland from Montgomery, Ala., where he served as music minister of Heritage Baptist Church. He also has served First Baptist Church, Lutz, and Parkwood Baptist Church, Jacksonville. He is a graduate of Stetson University, DeLand, and Southern Baptist Seminary, Louisville, Ky.
