Terri Schiavo's parents lose second bid to intervene in court casePublished March 18, 2004
CLEARWATER (FBW) - A Florida state court March 12 denied a motion to intervene on behalf of Robert and Mary Schindler, the parents of Terri Schiavo, a brain-damaged woman at the center of a "right-to-die" debate. The Schindlers have asked to be represented in the case against Florida Governor Jeb Bush, who signed off on legislation clearing the way to restore Schiavo's feeding tube last October. This is the second time Judge W. Douglas Baird has ruled against the Schindlers, who are represented by Jay Sekulow, chief counsel of the American Center for Law and Justice.
