Perspectives to teach about global missionsPublished January 15, 2004
JACKSONVILLE (FBW) - Perspectives on the World Christian Movement, a 15-week study course on global missions, is underway in several Florida communities. Southern Baptist agencies, including the International Mission Board and North American Mission Board, are among the inter-denominational course sponsors. Southern Baptist churches are among those of several denominations which are hosting the studies. Westside Baptist Church, Gainesville; and the Church at Chets Creek, Jacksonville, host classes on Tuesday evenings. Classes also are offered in Orlando and Tallahassee. The course is designed to give believers "an overall look at Gods mission in redeeming the world through four focuses: biblical, strategic, historic and cultural."
