In a small Muslim village of the Assamese of India, a bride hosts visitors all day before her midnight wedding. Workers hired by her parents have built a large, colorful tent where she sits dressed in a fine sari and jewelry. When wedding guests offer gifts, she responds by sharing candy and mints. In India, like in other regions of the world, those who leave their family religion to become Christian often face persecution as do those who bring the Gospel.
