Committee on Nominations report accepted without opposition

TAMPA (FBW)-Nominations to boards were approved in business session at the Florida Baptist State Convention annual meeting in Tampa, Nov. 10-11.

Richard A. Powell, chairman of the FBSC Committee on Nominations, presented the report, previously published on page 2A in the Oct. 9 issue of the Witness, with the following changes:

• Add, to the State Board of Missions: James Henry from the Orange Blossom Association, for the term 2003-05.

• Add, to the Florida Baptist Witness Commission (now called Board): John Davis, Lake City, 2003-06; Walter Davis, Winter Haven, 2003-06; Jim Knight, 2003-05, Tampa; Bob Green, Pensacola, 2003-05; Edwin Holton, Mulberry, 2003-04; and Ron Lentine, Pensacola, 2003-04. The additional directors were approved after a revision to the Bylaws of Florida Baptist Witness – adding six more directors–was approved at the FBSC annual meeting.
