Jordan Baptist School in Amman: A Mideast oasis -- Southern Baptist missionaries Brian and Vicki Barlow from Largo, are assigned to the Baptist School in Amman, Jordan, where he is the general director. The school, with an enrollment of 1,134 boys and girls is 60% Christian and 40% Muslim and educates students in Arabic, English and French. BRANDON (FBW)—"Strong families making strong churches, makes for a strong denomination," Florida pastor Forrest Pollock said Oct. 2 at the second of three Kingdom Family conferences across the nation this fall.

Green to be nominated for second term in Tampa

TAMPA (FBW)—Tom Biles has told Florida Baptist Witness that he intends to nominate John Thomas "Tommy" Green III for a second term as president of the Florida Baptist State Convention during its 142nd annual meeting in Tampa, Nov. 10-11.
