WADI HADADA, Jordan (FBW)—On the anniversary of a day many remember as a turning point for America, Baptist relief workers in the Middle East brought a message of hope and reconciliation Sept. 11 as they delivered food and supplies to Iraqi and other refugees living in Jordan.

Blue Springs Conference Center (FBC)–The Florida Baptist Convention’s State Board of Missions authorized the selling of 15 acres of land in Broward County to First Seminole Indian Baptist Church for $5 million and the gifting of another 10 acres on which the church is located during the Board’s Sept. 12 meeting at Blue Springs Baptist Conference Center in Marianna.
Iraqi Baptists form Union, elect moderator in historic move

MIDDLE EAST (FBW)—In a historic move spurred by new-found religious freedom in Iraq, Baptists there have elected a moderator who has the support of Baptists in other Arab countries to set up a center for ministry in Baghdad.
